For children in Grades 1st-5th, we offer a Monday and Wednesday program from 8:45 am- 1:45 pm drop-off enrichment program for home-schooled students including the following:
Physical exercise through cooperative games. Learning gross motor skills, balance, and team work
Spanish as a World Language:
1st-5th: Through games, cooking, songs, and verse, participants are introduced and exposed to cultural and linguistic aspects of the Spanish language.
1st-5th: Language through movement.
1st and 2nd: Pentatonic Flute and Recorder, rhythm and singing
3rd and 4th and 5th: Violin, Pentatonic and Diatonic Recorder, rhythm and singing
1st and 2nd grade: Simple skills such as sanding, polishing, positioning and connecting pieces of wood as well as use of hand drill.
3rd, 4th, and 5th grade: Further development of previous skills as well as more complicated skills such as designing and creating a house through fashioning wood pieces and constructing frame.
Wet-on-Wet Watercolor Painting
1st: Working with primary colors two-three at a time.
2nd: Further development of techniques to incorporate all three primary colors at once.
3rd: More detail included with three primary colors
4th and 5th: learning to take away paint to create images and building on prior knowledge
